There are inflammatory breast disorders or of other
origins that simulate neoplastic processes. They present a
diagnostic dilemma requiring histological confirmation.
We present two cases of Prosthetic Implants (PI) and bilateral
palpable masses studied with Magnetic Resonance
Imaging (MRI). The images showed enhanced solid masses
suggesting neo-proliferative lesions; however, histopathological
findings yielded no malignancy. Breast MRI is an
important tool for detecting and characterizing various
pathological processes, but there are cases in which the
differential diagnosis becomes difficult. It is very important
to recognize the main differential diagnoses of these
entities since it may aid the clinical management, aiming
at the use of more precise techniques for final diagnosis.
Palabras clave: Periprosthetic masses, breast cancer, MRI.

Perianal fistulas are a prevalent problem in current medical practice, with a high impact on morbidity. Treatment
is not exempt from complications, such as local recurrence and fecal incontinence. Magnetic resonance imaging
(MRI) plays an essential role in surgical planning in these patients, since the high spatial resolution of the latest equipment
provides more precise information on the pelvis anatomy, indicating the number and relationship of the fistulous
tracks with the anal sphincter. The aim of this work is to identify the different types of fistulas based on MRI features,
with particular emphasis on the local anatomy and study techniques
Keywords: Anal canal; Fistula; Morbidity; Magnetic resonance imaging.
