In this meeting, an agenda will be covered, its objective being to facilitate a space to analyze, “re think” and discuss every aspect related with the Interamerican College of Radiology, towards defining the future of american and spanish radiologists for the next five years, as well as strengthening and updating the CIR vision and mission.

Thus, the Interamerican College of Radiology renews it permanent will to evolve and find better and improved instruments for the progress of our specialty.

Scholarships from ESR to CIR members.

The Interamerican College of Radiology (CIR) has signed over the past months an agreement with the European Society of Radiology (ESR), so that young radiologists from the countries members of our corporation may attend the European Radiology Congress to be celebrated in the city of Vienna from March 6th to 10th, 2009.

The Education Commission, through its sholarship commissioner, obtained in this first occasion 8 scholarships which were then selected and awarded among the candidates that had replied to the original call.

The scholarships consist in: Free registration to the congress, lodging and public transport for free within Vienna. They have been awarded to the following persons:

  • Fabio Onuki Castro (BRA), Guilhermo Demarchi (BRA, Lisandro Paganini (ARG), Mariana Kucharczyk (ARG), Ricardo Vallejos (ARG), Gabriela Picco (ARG), Lorena Svaluk (ARG), Lennyn Alban (ECU).

The Board of Directors thanked the ESR for this effort that will no doubt contribute to improve the education of these young radiologists members of the CIR. We will do our best effort too, so that together with the ESR exchanges and relationships increase and they all result in more accomplishments for education during the years to come.
