The History Corner

Edward Staab

He was an American radiologist (1936-2008) considered one of the pioneers in the field of Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS). Born in Albany, New York, he graduated from medical school at the University of Minnesota in 1961. He completed an internship in California followed by a residency in diagnostic radiology at the Veterans Administration Hospital of the same university.
