Nomination for CIR Congress 2016 host organization

The societies or associations members of the Inter-American College of Radiology interested in becoming the CIR Congress 2016 host must complete the application form and send it to the Secretariat of the CIR before 15 June, together with a formal letter from the Chairman requesting that the organization be host. The election will be held in the General Assembly of the CIR, during the CIR Congress 2014.

The History Corner

Enrico FERMI

Enrico Fermi (Rome, September 1901 – Chicago, November 1954) was an Italian Physicist who was granted the Nobel Prize of Physics in 1938 for his work on induced radioactivity. He is considered one of the most distinguished scientists of the 20th century and he was well known for his development of the first nuclear reactor and for his contributions to the quantum theory. Fermium, chemical element number 100, which was produced synthetically in 1952, was named after him.
